Ethiopia is the #5 largest coffee growing county in the world, in 2015 they produced 400,00MT, exported 186,00MT. That’s 46% exported, but only equivalent to 4.4% of the coffee grown worldwide.
Ethiopia Coffee is grown on mountainside at 1500 to 2200 meters above sea level, that’s 4,922ft to 7,218ft. In general, Ethiopian offees are best known for their complexity with a pungent, winey quality and a distinct wildness in their acidity.
