Cooking Oil Brand In Malaysia: Nature’s Gem Virgin Coconut Oil
There are a lot of cooking oil brands in Malaysia, one of which is Nature's Gem from Sungaibutt Industries.
Virgin coconut oil is probably best known for its pleasant aroma and taste as well as healthy antioxidants, medium-chain fatty acids, and vitamins.
Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), also known as Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, is pure cold-pressed coconut oil that has not been refined. Unlike coconut oil, the unrefined version is not bleached or deodorized, nor is it hydrogenated. It has a light coconut taste compared to the strong taste of coconut oil.
People prefer to use VCOs for personal care purposes incorporating skin moisturizing and drinking raw. It is also a better option in usage for cooking oil like baking and sautéing than coconut oil due to its creamy tropical flavor. It's also great if added to smoothies, coffee, and milkshakes. On the other hand, virgin coconut oil is better for frying.
Since it is not exposed to heat or sunlight and is extracted in a different extraction process from fresh/undried coconuts, the benefits of VCO are definitely richer than regular coconut oil. Its antioxidants, which are zero or negligible in regular coconut oil, maybe higher in taste and aroma than refined oil.
