Soft and crumbly crust with lotus seed paste filling.
The filling is made from steamed or boiled mashed lotus seeds combined with sugar and oil. Following wrapping the paste in a thin layer of dough, it is baked till golden brown. Lotus seed paste has a sweet and nutty flavor that goes well with Chinese tea.

Typically served in small slices with tea.
