Steaming:

  1. Set up a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water. Make sure the water is simmering but not touching the steamer basket. Place the peeled and deveined prawns in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss the prawns to ensure even seasoning.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the seasoned prawns. Toss the prawns in the mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Place the prawns evenly in the steamer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. This allows for even steaming. Cover the steamer basket with a lid and steam prawns for about 5-7 minutes or until they turn opaque and pink. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the prawns, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.

Once the prawns are cooked, transfer them to a serving dish.
